You Light Up My Life
All week I have had a song in my head.
This fact is not unusual in the slightest bit.
The odd part is it is a song I haven't heard in years.
YEARS!
There is absolutely no reason I should think of this song.
I don't have emotional ties to it.
I didn't even know who sings it until I looked it up online.
And yet, there it is....
"So many nights I sit by my window
Waiting for someone to sing me his song
So many dreams I kept deep inside me
Alone in the dark but now
You've come along
You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song
Rollin' at sea, adrift on the water
Could it be finally I'm turning for home?
Finally, a chance to say hey,
I love You
Never again to be all alone
You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song
You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song
It can't be wrong
When it feels so right
'Cause You
You light up my life"
By Debbie Boone
Then, the other night I was chatting with my hubby. I asked him what song my father-in-law and his fiance would like me to sing for their wedding.
Guess what song it is?
Yep.
You Light Up My Life.
Odd.

I know this song!! I took piano lessons for a very short time but I taught myself how to play this song on the piano when I was young. I'm 34 now and I don't even recognize notes. lol Very weird!
