Where, Oh Where Has Julie Gone?

Do not be alarmed! I am still here. Although, I will admit, I have been scarce. I've been missing the computer and all you lovely people. Did I tell you I have a job? Yes, ma'am, or sir as the case may be!
I work at a Shoe store. Not exactly glamorous, I know. And, retail can be a b*tch too. My feet, legs, and lower back hate me right now. Today was my third day. I think I am catching on really quick.
I will say, I feel old. Not just because of the pain. My manager is married, has two children 2 & 3 years old, and is 21. Yep. Twenty-one. I may be the oldest one there. My word! I am only 29. How can I be the oldest (or at least possibly the second oldest) there? You want to know why? I bet I know why. Everyone my age has a career. They don't have a retail job as a full-time job.
I like the people I work with, and I get to see lots of kids.
Right now, I can deal with everything else. :)

Shoooooooes! I loves shoes, but other than a 3 dollar pair of slip ons to wear around the house (apartment), I haven't bought a new pair of shoes in two years now! I *used* to get two or three pairs of new shoes (ha, from one of the most expensive stores... Footlocker!) every 6 months when my parents bought them for me! Sheesh, I was sure spoiled...
That's so cool that you have a job now that you're GOING to enjoy more! JUST DO IT! LoL I don't think 29 is the least bit OLD, that's not something I think you've got on your manager by far... I bet your personality is though!!! You're such a sweetie, and you are one of the *few* who was smart enough (I didn't really think that this would actually take brains...) to pick up on my hints about the Ultrasound! LoL Oh, and not EVERYONE your age has a career. Sheesh, the economy is just *barely* picking back up a little at a time, I doubt even HALF the people your age have actual careers!
I hope that despite your having a new job (yeah, juggling life sucks) you'll still be able to post and visit from time to time! I'd miss you if you didn't! :)
