Hope Rising

Hubby and I are reading the same book at the same time. We do this sometimes.
It is a wonderful book with inspirational stories. And, the best part? They are true stories.
The book is titled, "Hope Rising" by Kim Meeder. I highly recommend it!

Here is a summary...
Transforming an abandoned rock quarry into Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, Kim and her husband, Troy, created the perfect match---a rundown property filled with broken horses, all to love back to life thousands of mistreated children. Come visit a place where the impossible flourishes, dreams survive a mean reality---and hope rises.

If you read this one, please let me know what you think about it.
Enjoy!

New Phase

I am starting a new phase in book reading. Up to now, I have pretty much stuck to a small list of favorite authors. For example; Barbara Delinsky, Nicholas Sparks, etc.
While they have been wonderful books, I want to branch out. Classics, mysteries, and more!
My first forey into this would be Sue Grafton. My sister in law, Shelly has lent me the
first book...A is for Alibi.
Wish me luck and happy reading!

**While you're at it...leave me a list of your favorite books/or authors. Also, tell me why you love them. It would be much appreciated!**

Just three books to recommend? I love to read and can go on and on.... I love mysteries and can recommend Sujata Massey, Janet Evanovich and Deborah Crombie. All quite different but very enjoyable. I would start off with the first book in their respective series though just to get all the background of the characters. Happy reading!

I'm the same way, for a long time it seemed like I was actually READING the same books over and over! But I've been getting brave and branching out, finding some great stuff. Lately I've been on a "chick lit" kick (life is just too serious, might as well giggle thru some books!). Check out Jennifer Crusie, Janet Evanovich and Sophie Kinsella. They're breezy, easy reads that are FUN!
Oh.....hello, Michele sent me!
