Simply Life

This morning I woke up to my husband being all mushy. He was hugging me and kissing me. And then, he said this, "Happy 11 years!"
(Awww!)
What a way to wake up, huh?
Now, I can read your mind.
"11 years?? HUH? 11 years of what? You told me you just celebrated your 9th Anniversary in December!"
11 years of being together as a couple.
Yep. He remembers that every year.
And, yes. I know I am lucky! :o)

Sometimes, for no reason, my hubby will surprise me.
It doesn't happen frequently, thus the surprise element, but when it does it melts my heart.
Today, we were out shopping at various places. I needed to get a watch. Normally, I will get a cheapy thing that will last for about 1 year. Not too bad. I will spend $10 at most.
Hubby wanted to get me a different one this time.
I won't post the price, but it's not $10. He wanted to "spoil me" because he can't always do it.
It has four little diamonds on the face, and mother of pearl as part of the background.
It's beautiful and every time I look at it, I will think of his sweetness.

...so many things all at once.
There are these amazing huge moments when love hits you over the head.
I almost prefer the small miracles.
Such as what you might ask.
Hmm... Panda Express.

Such an odd statement, I know.
And, here is the explanation.

All afternoon I had been craving Panda Express. It's Chinese food (though I am sure it's not authentic)
I wanted desperately to call my hubby and ask him to pick some up for dinner.
I held off in doing so, because I was positive he wouldn't want to stop on his way home.
He called my cell phone and I missed the call.
When I returned it, he said, "So, am I getting Panda Express for dinner?"
*Cue music*
I was stunned. It wasn't a sonnet or a love song, but it sure was sweet.
And, how on earth did he know I had been fantasizing about him.
Uh, I mean, beef and broccoli. :0)

These occurances of what appears to be mind (or heart) reading are not rare.
They are cute, funny, sweet, and I love my hubby so much!

We celebrate wacky anniversaries in this house! :)
Today my hubby and I celebrate 10 years together. Not ten years married. That number would be 8.
Ten years together.
February 22, 1995 was the day we decided to be devoted to each other only! :)
He was in Virginia at the School of Music. I was here.
What a sweet memory!
My hubby surprised me last night with a beautiful journal (well, I picked it out - he asked me to!)
Then, at work, he surprised me with some beautiful flowers!
You think I'm happy?!
