Stripped Music

It has some good musical artists without all the "extra stuff". Stripped down to the bare bones of their music. I think it's awesome, and reminiscent of MTV's Unplugged series, which I also loved!

I, as you may know, am a bit naive.
I don't want him to be guilty. (rather, that half the people are lying?)
Child molestation is a BIG DEAL. If he is guilty, I would hope they find him so.
That way, no other children can be harmed by him.
I guess the bottom line is that I want the truth.
See, I told you I'm naive.

*Update: Michael has been judged NOT GUILTY on all 10 counts. I pray that this is the truth.

How daring of me to put the name of my pre-teen and teen musical faves as a title.
It is daring.
I loved their music and lusted for them!
No, I'm not the only one.
I spent years defending them to my "enemies", my family and even some friends.
My walls were plastered with their beautiful faces.... silly, now that I have pictures for proof.

I still really enjoy listening to Joey McIntyre's voice. It melts me.
My hubby even liked a song by him. Well, before I said who it was.
I felt defensive to my husband about this.
There is a stigma attached to anything "NKOTB" related.
Ugh.

At the beginning of this school year there was a boy student (who still is on my route) that had a CD he had made himself. It was a great mixture of different kinds of music.
He said to me, "Listen to this song. It's cool. It's called Step by Step."
My heart stopped for just a second.
I put on the headphones unbelieving.
And yes, there it was.
"Step by step...ooh baby
Gonna get to you girl. Step by step."

This boy is 12 years old. That means he was born in 1993.
1993. Approximately 3 years after this song was released, he was born.
"Step by Step" is 15 years old?
What?!
I once was a teeny bopper screaming half way back at 5 little dots on the stage.
Where did that time go?

Why do I care that Britney Spears has finally announced her pregnancy?
I am not particularly fond of her image or music.
